Christmas 12/23/2009

Santa Claus maybe coming to town, but he already came to Lyndon!

We had our Christmas Party last Friday. We ate chocolate chip mint ice cream and no bake chocolate cookies. Everyone smiled when Santa came.

We are happy to announce that no one was naughty and everyone received presents!

It is Christmas time. What is Christmas without Christmas Carols? Michelle Mortensen came and led us all in a fun Christmas Sing-along. We especially enjoyed "The Twelve Days of Christmas". Michelle really is the coolest!

Fa-la-la-la...

"FIVE GOLDEN RINGS!"

Its FOOTBALL dude! 12/11/2009

We all survived the first major storm for this winter, whew!

I know that Christmas is just two weeks away, but we have more important things to worry about here in Lyndon, like who will win the football game Sunday night.

It is Bears vs. Packers and the FIGHT is on!!

Ashley yells, "Go Packers!!                While John says it simply, "THE BEARS!"

Brrr! It is cold outside! We are staying warm inside.
We are enjoying some down time before the hustle and bustle of the Christmas holidays.

We had a great thanksgiving meal with family and friends last Saturday. It is such a special time. Christmas is coming and the geese are getting fat (whatever that means?!) Happy Turkey Day to Everyone from DT!

The party is over. That's all she wrote. DJ has taken her toys and gone home!!

Turkey Time 11/20/2009
I'm so excited!! I just can't hide it!!

Tomorrow our family and friends will come to visit and we will stuff ourselves silly and have a marvelous time!!

Can't wait...

Dawn and Scott help do last minute touch ups on the "turkey" centerpieces we made for the tables.

A good week for us, we are eagerly anticipating our Annual Thanksgiving meal with family and friends next Saturday. They are talking rain next weekend, but we will not let it dampen our fun. Joyce is working hard to prepare a photo opportunity for family and friends. Pam has been hanging garland to decorate our halls. It is hard to believe that the holidays are so close.

It is November, so naturally we all start thinking about Thanksgiving and all the things for which we are thankful. Today we have a guest blogger with her thoughts on what Thanksgiving means to her.

"Thanksgiving is a time to share with people you love and to tell them how much they mean to you."

Halloween Party 10/30/2009

Today we had a howling good time at our Halloween Party! BIG BIG BIG thanks to Joyce and all her hard work with our costumes. We feasted on what looked like brains (though I think it was green spaghetti) with bloody guts (it kind of tasted like spaghetti sauce) and some orange skin (which looked suspisiously like cheddar cheese).

Look below at some of us in costume:

Haunted House 10/23/2009

A couple of us went to the ASYLUM of MAD Dreams haunted house yesterday and had a scarey good time! It rained cats and dogs (Nancy could have picked a better day), but with the help of great staff we were able to get through the house alive!

Thanks to Arnie and Mitch...it was the FIRST time many of us had ever been through a haunted house and the FIRST time we ever had the stuffing scared out of us!

Halloween Spirit 10/16/2009

Welcome to Day Treatments new Blog

Welcome to the new blog for Lyndon Day Treatment. Our hope is to have a place for residents, families and friends to check in and see what is going on at Lyndon. We hope you will check in on a regular basis.

To start things off we spent a group discussing what happiness means to each of us at Lyndon. To read our thoughts and feelings about happiness click here.

Last week to get us into the Halloween spirit, our friend Mariah brought her favorite vehicle for us to see-a hearse!!!!
We all enjoyed getting our pictures taken by the hearse but kept a wary eye on the coffin in the back seat.

AHHHH!!! Something is crawling out of the car...its ALIVE!

I ain't afraid of no ghost!
